Gerber Taylor is founded.

Looking to take a different approach to investment consulting centered on the clients' interests with objective advice, Charles Gerber and Andy Taylor form Gerber Taylor.

1991
First hedge fund strategy started.

Our first discretionary commingled investment vehicle is created to broaden access to our manager ideas.

1995
Expansion of investment strategies.

Gerber Taylor establishes commingled vehicles to invest in hedged equity, private equity, emerging markets and real estate. Firm assets reach $100 million.

2000
The GT Model Portfolio launched.

Early entrant into a business line now commonly referred to as Outsourced Chief Investment Officer. The Model gives GT greater discretion on manager decisions across all asset classes.

GT launches long-only equity strategies.

To round out asset class coverage and bolster the GT Model, commingled vehicles focused on U.S. and international equities are inaugurated.

2002
Equity ownership broadened.

Founders distribute equity to recognize the contributions of the growing team. Subsequently, the ownership group has grown commensurate with the firm’s growth and is critical to our multi-generational aims.

2005
Gerber Taylor reaches $1 billion AUM.

Celebrates its 15th anniversary.

2008
Launch of 1st of four opportunistic strategies.
2014
Gerber Taylor achieves $5 billion AUM.

Raised $197 million in new commitments.

Continuing our programmatic investment in private equity since 1995.

2020
Gerber Taylor celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Opens fourth opportunistic strategy focused on the biotech sector.
